Why I Created CR Smith Virtual PA & Coaching

Years ago, I found myself in a position that many of my clients now relate to deeply.

From the outside, I appeared successful, hardworking and capable. I worked in management, pushed myself constantly and always tried to keep everything together for everyone around me.

But behind the scenes, I was overwhelmed, exhausted and struggling to maintain any real balance between work, family life and my own wellbeing.

I understood what it felt like to:

  • constantly juggle responsibilities
  • feel mentally overloaded
  • experience burnout
  • struggle with organisation and overwhelm
  • carry guilt for never being able to “switch off”
  • feel like there was never enough time or energy left for myself

That experience became the foundation of the work I do today.

I created CR Smith Virtual PA & Coaching to provide compassionate, practical and judgement-free support for people who feel overwhelmed trying to manage everything alone.

Because support should not feel clinical, unrealistic or inaccessible. It should feel human.

My Mission

My mission is to help neurodivergent and disabled individuals feel understood, supported and empowered in both life and work.

I believe success should never come at the expense of your wellbeing.

Too many people are trying to survive within systems, expectations and environments that simply were not designed for the way their brain works.

My goal is to help clients:

  • reduce overwhelm
  • improve executive functioning
  • create practical systems
  • regain confidence
  • prevent burnout
  • feel calmer and more organised
  • build sustainable success without sacrificing themselves in the process

What Makes My Support Different

What makes my approach unique is the combination of:

  • coaching
  • executive functioning support
  • practical implementation
  • business support
  • neurodiversity understanding
  • compassionate accountability

Many people do not simply need motivation. They need practical support from someone who genuinely understands the challenges of overwhelm, executive dysfunction, burnout and trying to balance life, work and responsibilities all at once.

I work alongside clients to help them create realistic strategies and supportive systems that work in real life — not just in theory.

This is not about perfection. It is about creating support that feels manageable, sustainable and empowering.

A Little More About Me

Outside of work, I am a huge animal lover, a big believer in kindness and someone who genuinely understands the importance of creating a life that works for you — not against you.

You will often find me with my French Bulldogs, surrounded by far too many ideas at once, a cup of tea nearby and always trying to make support feel calmer, safer and more accessible for the people I work with.

The butterfly within my branding represents growth, resilience, transformation and becoming who you were always meant to be — something that feels deeply connected to both my own journey and the journeys of many of my clients.

Hi, I'm Carla

ADHD & Autism Coach & Assessor | Neurodiversity & Disability Specialist | Business Consultant | Speaker | Author

I know what it feels like when life, work and everything in between becomes overwhelming.

As someone with lived experience of neurodivergence, disability and long-term health challenges, I understand that the things other people may find straightforward can sometimes require an enormous amount of energy, planning and resilience.

I've experienced the reality of trying to balance health, family, work and running a business while navigating executive functioning challenges, overwhelm and the pressure to keep going. That experience has shaped not only who I am, but the way I support the people who work with me.

But my work isn't based on lived experience alone.

I've invested extensively in professional training and development across ADHD, Autism, coaching, assessment, safeguarding, disability and neurodiversity. This allows me to combine professional knowledge with genuine understanding and practical, real-world support.

I see the person, not the label

Whether someone comes to me for ADHD or Autism coaching, an assessment, executive functioning support, workplace or Access to Work guidance, or help running their business, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

I take time to understand you — how you think, what you're experiencing, what is getting in the way and what you want life or work to look like.

Sometimes that means creating structure when everything feels chaotic. Sometimes it's understanding why certain things feel so difficult. Sometimes it's advocating for the right support or reasonable adjustments. And sometimes it's simply having someone alongside you who understands and can help turn an overwhelming situation into manageable next steps.

Why I created CR Smith Virtual PA & Coaching

I built CR Smith because I wanted to provide the type of support I know can make a genuine difference: practical, compassionate, non-judgemental and tailored to the individual.

Today, my work brings together ADHD and Autism coaching and assessment, neurodiversity and disability support, executive functioning, business consultancy, workplace support and advocacy.

I work with individuals, business owners, families, employers and organisations, as well as members of the Armed Forces community and public-sector services.

What connects all of my work is simple:

Helping people feel understood, find clarity and move forward in a way that works for them.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you contact me. If you know something needs to change but you're unsure what support would help, that's absolutely fine.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO NAVIGATE THIS ALONE

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, unsupported or simply looking for practical guidance from someone who genuinely understands, I would love to support you. Together, we can create systems, strategies and support that help you feel calmer, more confident and more in control of your life, work or business.
